Chess clubs in Darmstadt 3

Darmstadt's clubs spread from the centre to Eberstadt in the south. Schachforum Darmstadt 1994 plays in the Prinz-Emil-Schlösschen on Heidelberger Straße, holds rapid tournaments of its own and offers introductory courses for children from the age of seven; its teams play in the district leagues of Starkenburg. The chess department of TEC Darmstadt, a tennis and ice-sports club, meets on Thursday evenings in the side room of the club restaurant.

SK Eberstadt 1924 holds its playing evening on Tuesdays from eight in the Haus der Vereine in Eberstadt, and its first team plays in the Starkenburg district league. Around the city, the clubs of Weiterstadt, Roßdorf, Pfungstadt, Ober-Ramstadt, Groß-Zimmern, Dieburg and Münster belong to the same district and meet one another in its leagues; each has its own entry under its town in the club list.
